Meditation

1. Say 3 times AUM

2. Close your eyes. Breath slowly as much you can and exhale slowly, as slow as possible and then inhale. Repeat the cycle.

3. Breath slowly as much as possible and hold for a few seconds and then exhale slowly as much as possible and then hold for a few seconds and then inhale again. Repeat the cycle.

4. Breath slowly as much as possible and hold for a few seconds and then exhale. While exhaling say AUM audibly, so that you can hear. Then hold for a few seconds and slowly inhale as much as possible and then hold for a few seconds. Then repeat the cycle. Concentrate on AUM while saying AUM.

5. Breath slowly as much as possible and hold for a few seconds, then exhale. While exhaling say AUM mentally. Do not use your vocal cords while saying AUM. Then hold for a few seconds and then slowly inhale as much as possible. Then hold for a few seconds. Then repeat the cycle.

6. Breath in slowly as much as possible. While breathing say AUM mentally and then hold for a few seconds and then slowly exhale. While exhaling say AUM mentally. Then hold for a few seconds. Then repeat the cycle.

7. Continue inhaling and exhaling and in between do not hold breath as you do in step #6 and continue saying AUM mentally while inhaling and exhaling. Repeat the cycle.

8. Continue inhaling and exhaling just like step # 7. but stop totally saying AUM even mentally and remain in silence. If any thought comes say to your self, not now and remain in silence completely as long as you like to be. Say 10 minutes or more. This step is very important.

9. When once you decide to come back from step # 8, slowly switch over to step # 7 and remain in step # 7 for a few minutes. Then switch back to step # 6 and remain in step # 6 for a few minutes. Similarly move back to step # 5 and then to step # 4 , then step # 3, then step # 2 and then step # 1, that say three times AUM audibly. Then slowly open your eyes.

This Meditation procedure is developed mainly for the purpose of getting the knowledge of the Self. ( Gyanam), that is the ultimate purpose of life. Gyanam means staying your self in your self. In Meditation you slowly move inwards, that is from gross body to subtle body ( mind) and further from there you make an inward journey to your Self and remain there yourself in your self.
